Convert SRT or WebVTT into plain-caption SRT, WebVTT or text. Keep the original and inspect the result before using it in a player.

UTF-8 only, up to 1 MiB (1,048,576 bytes) and 5,000 cues. Cue times must be below 100 hours, with end after start. SRT and VTT only; ASS/SSA and automatic speech recognition are not supported.

Output formatShift all cues (seconds)

Positive values delay subtitles; negative values make them earlier. Up to 3 decimal places, for example 1.250 or -0.500. Times below zero are rejected, not clipped.

Allow removal of caption styling and metadata

Recognized style tags, cue identifiers, VTT settings, headers, NOTE, STYLE and REGION blocks are omitted. Text and cue order are kept. Review the plain text preview before downloading.

Shows the first 40 cues and at most 500 characters per cue. Downloads include every cue. Overlap warnings do not change the order or timing automatically.
